Log in with Facebook and pick your business number — Meta Embedded Signup provisions your WhatsApp Business API in under 3 minutes. No Twilio account, no developer setup.
The one-click Embedded Signup flow uses WhatsApp coexistence — your number keeps working on the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, and WhatsApp requires you to open the app at least once every 14 days to keep the API connection active. The legacy Twilio and manual Meta Cloud API paths work differently and lock the number to the API.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Meta Cloud API
1
Click "Connect WhatsApp via Facebook" in Leadber
In Leadber, go to Settings → Messaging → WhatsApp. (Onboarding step 5 opens the same screen.)
Under "Meta WhatsApp Cloud API", click the blue "Connect WhatsApp via Facebook" button.
A Facebook popup opens. If nothing happens, your browser is blocking popups — allow them for leadber.com and click again.
Have your business phone handy — you will enter a 6-digit verification code sent to it in a later step.

2
Sign in with Facebook in the popup
In the popup, sign in with your personal Facebook account — the one that manages (or will manage) your business on Facebook.
If you are already signed in to Facebook in this browser, click "Continue as [your name]".
Facebook may ask you to confirm your identity with a one-time code or password.
You will land in a Meta setup wizard inside the popup — this is normal.
3
Select a Business Profile
Pick your Meta Business Portfolio from the dropdown, or click "Create a new portfolio" if you have none.
Pick your WhatsApp Business Account next, or click "Create a new WhatsApp Business account".
Confirm the business name shown — this is what customers see as the sender on every message you send.
4
Add or choose your phone number
If you already use WhatsApp Business on this number, Facebook offers "Keep using WhatsApp on this phone" — select it. The number keeps working on your phone (coexistence) and syncs with Leadber.
If this number is new to WhatsApp, enter it in international format (for example +65 9123 4567) with the country code.
Choose the display name that appears above your messages — many businesses use their trading name.
Confirm your business category and (optional) website — these appear on the business profile card Meta shows the recipient.
5
Enter the 6-digit verification code
Facebook sends a 6-digit code to the number you entered — SMS by default, with voice as a backup.
The code typically arrives within one minute. Enter it in the popup.
If the code never arrives, click "Resend" or switch to voice. Make sure the number is in international format with no spaces.
If the popup appears to freeze on this screen, see the warning below — the fix is simple.
Known snag: the popup can freeze on the verification code step. Close the Facebook popup AND the browser tab completely, then click "Connect WhatsApp via Facebook" in Leadber again. The retry works reliably — this is a Facebook popup state issue, not a Leadber bug.
6
Review permissions and finish
Facebook asks you to confirm the permissions Leadber needs — whatsapp_business_messaging, whatsapp_business_management and public_profile. Approve them.
Click "Finish" or close the popup. Leadber captures your WABA ID and phone number ID in the background.
The Settings page refreshes with a green "Active" badge and your phone number displayed.
7
Confirm the green Active badge
In Settings → Messaging → WhatsApp, a green "Active" badge next to your phone number confirms the connection.
Send a test message to your own phone — if it arrives, you are fully live.
Leadber can now send approved templates, auto-replies and sequences from your number.
Messages from your own connected number do not cost Leadber credits (only auto-reply AI usage is charged).

8
Keep your connection active
WhatsApp requires the WhatsApp Business app on the phone that owns this number to be opened at least once every 14 days. This is WhatsApp's rule, not Leadber's.
Separately, Meta issues a 60-day access token. Leadber emails you before it expires with a one-click reconnect link — no new code, no re-verification.
One business profile is connected at a time per Leadber workspace. Connecting a new Meta Business Portfolio or WhatsApp Business Account automatically disconnects the previous one.
The WhatsApp Business app on your phone keeps working regardless — disconnecting from Leadber does not log you out of the app on your phone.
Two different timers: the 14-day rule is WhatsApp's (open the app on your phone), the 60-day token is Meta's (click the Leadber reconnect email). Keep both current to stay connected.
Need a Number?
Don't have a WhatsApp Business number yet? Here's how to get one:
Virtual Number Services
Twilio, Vonage, or Sinch provide virtual numbers from $1-5/month. Best for businesses without a local dedicated number.
Dedicated SIM Card
Purchase a SIM card dedicated to your business. Keep it separate from personal use. Works with either Twilio or Meta Cloud API.
