How to connect WhatsApp
Open Settings and the Messaging tab
Click Settings in the sidebar, then Messaging, and find WhatsApp Number. You will see three options: Meta WhatsApp Cloud API (recommended), a dedicated US number on paid plans, or your own Twilio account.
Connect with Facebook in one click
Under Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, keep Quick Connect via Facebook selected and click Connect WhatsApp via Facebook. Sign in with your Facebook Business account and Meta guides you through selecting or creating a WhatsApp Business number. No Twilio account and no developer setup is needed.
Or connect Meta manually (advanced)
If you prefer, switch to the Manual tab and enter your Meta Phone Number ID and Permanent Access Token. Find these in the Meta Developer Portal under WhatsApp then API Setup.
Or use your own Twilio account
Enter your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token and WhatsApp number in +1XXXXXXXXXX format. Find these in your Twilio Console under Account settings.
Save and send a test
Click Save, then send a test message to your own number to confirm the connection is working. Messages will now come from your dedicated business number.

Access from Meta is issued as a 60-day token. Leadber emails you a reminder before it expires and lets you reconnect in one click. First contact with any new lead must use an approved Meta message template. Free-form messages are only allowed after the lead replies to you. About contact import: when you connect a WhatsApp Business number in coexistence mode (your number stays live in the WhatsApp Business app), Meta can also sync your phone's address book into Leadber. This is OFF by default. The dashboard asks you after you connect, with "No thanks" as the primary action. If you choose to import, those entries are saved as Contacts — kept SEPARATE from your leads, excluded from every lead count, and refused by every bulk-send path. You can promote a contact to a lead later from the Contacts page. Contacts come from the phone's address book synced by WhatsApp Business, not from the people who have messaged your WhatsApp number.
